I started anew photography 10 years ago, with digital, so I saw, as everyone, the development of many incredible tools. Digital photography is commonly considered as easy, but if you want to be really accurate and/or faithful to what you wanted to represent when you took the pictures, it is not so. 

And "vintage" pictures made on film, which often represent worlds that do not exist any more, are still more than relevant.

I have participated in several expositions in Brussels, and started selling pictures, which was an interesting experience. I have shown the pictures to audiences with various origins and cultures. Always some of the pictures generated real interest and emotions, and it was not the same pictures for each person.

There is no predefined categories or "genres" in my pictures : they can be in color or in black and white, with a soft or hard rendering, realistic or not so realistic. 

What count for me is what is "behind the picture" : the impressions and emotions that come with seeing the pictures. I like pictures with both a realistic part and an dreamy part, so there is some tension between these two parts. 

Also, some pictures are more eye-catching and some other are quieter but lend themselves to meditation. Some people prefer the first type, and other people prefer the second.

This internet site contains most of my portfolio, with both modern pictures and travels/vintage pictures. Modern pictures are displayed first, and all vintage/travel pictures are grouped together.

I plan to make new travels and make new photographic experiences, so please stay tuned  if you want the latest news.

One ambition as a conclusion : I hope that after seeing some of these pictures, someone will have had unexpected sensations or emotions, and will look again at the world around him/her in a different way.
